What are the fees associated with Bill Pay?

The fees depend on your cardholder service status and are described below:

Premium Service
– Cardholders qualify for fee-free bill payment services by initiating and maintaining a minimum $100.00 recurring direct deposit or ACH transfer to their account.  This elite status becomes effective when a second direct deposit or ACH transaction posts to your account within a 60 day timeframe and will continue as long as you maintain your recurring direct deposit of at least $100.00.

Standard Service
– $1.00 service fee per bill payment transaction.

When setting up a payee, what is the “alias” used for?

The Account Alias is a nickname you create for the payee that can be used when paying a bill with your phone. This allows you to select the payee with a shortened version of the company’s full name or a category such as “cell phone” or “rent”.

How do I print a confirmation of my payment?

To print a hard copy of your payment confirmation, go to the Payment History page and click on the Reference Number link. A printable copy of the payment confirmation will appear.

When I make a bill payment, when will the money be withdrawn from my account?

Your account will be immediately debited for the bill pay amount plus any fees (if applicable).

Can I schedule a payment for a later date?

Bill payments can only be scheduled for the same day that you initiate your payment and can not be scheduled in advance.

How do I pay a payee not listed in the Payee Search options?

Axcess America Bill Pay allows you to make payments to thousands of payees that accept electronic fund transfers. You can only make a payment to a company that accepts payments via this method.

How do I view a prior payment I have made?

The most recent payment for each payee is displayed on the Pay Bills page under the Previous Payment column. Payments for the last 30 days are displayed on the Payment History page and you can search for payments from an earlier timeframe by using the calendar selector to select a date range.

What do the different payment status descriptions mean?

Once you have authorized payment of a bill and this transaction is recorded, we will begin the process of sending the payment to your payee.

Pending
lets you know that the payment is scheduled to be made and your account has been debited for the payment amount plus any fees (if applicable).  A payment that is pending can only be edited or canceled by contacting one of our customer service agents prior to 11:00 PM Eastern time on the same day that the payment was initiated.  After this timeframe, you will need to contact your payee directly to make any adjustments.

Processed
lets you know that we have prepared and sent your payment to the payee.  Keep in mind that the payee can take a few days to credit your account.

Failed
lets you know that the payment was returned to us because there was a problem with the account information sent with your payment or the information was not sufficient for the payee to credit your account. This status can also occur when the pay from account associated with the payment has been closed.

When selecting and paying several payees at the same time, which one gets paid first?

When you have selected multiple payees on the Pay Bills page, they will be processed and paid in alphabetical order.

Can more than one cardholder make a payment to the same payee account number in Bill Pay?

No. Each payee has an account number that is unique to you. Once it is associated with your Axcess America Card, the same account number cannot be associated with someone else's Axcess America Card.

For example: Let's say that you and your roomate take turns paying your cable bill. The account number on your cable bill is 123456. Once you set up your cable bill as a payee in Bill Pay, no one else can pay a cable bill with the account number 123456. However, you may still easily take turns paying your cable bill; all your roomate needs to do is move the amount of the bill from her Axcess America Card to yours, since it's so easy to share funds between Axcess America Cards.
