How and where can I use my card?
You can use your Prepaid MasterCard® anywhere that debit MasterCard is accepted. From paying for dinner at a restaurant, renting a car, making hotel reservations, or shopping at your local grocery store, the cards offer you the convenience of cash. If you have a Maestro® Card, you may use it anywhere the Maestro/Cirrus brand is displayed. From paying at the supermarket by selecting the "debit" option and entering your PIN to withdrawing money from an ATM, Axcess America Cards offer you the convenience of cash.
Can I use the Maestro or Prepaid MasterCard like a credit card?
Although they share many of the same benefits, neither of the cards are actual credit cards, because no credit line is offered. However, they can be used anywhere Maestro or debit MasterCard are accepted. These are prepaid cards that offer the cardholder access to the amount pre-funded to the card and any funds made available as part of Overdraft Program.
How do I use my card at an ATM?
Your four-digit PIN was either in your original card package or sent via mail. To check your balance or withdrawal money, simply insert your card into the ATM machine and enter your PIN when prompted. Always select the "From checking" option.
How do I use my card in a store?
Your Prepaid MasterCard may be used just like any other debit MasterCard. You may sign for your purchases or select "debit" on the store terminal and enter your PIN as you would at an ATM.
Your Maestro card must be used at a store with your PIN. Simply select "debit" on the store terminal and enter your PIN as you would at an ATM.
Can I get cash back when making purchases?
Yes, if you select "debit" and enter your PIN at a merchant location, including supermarkets and other stores that offer cash back, you will be able to get cash back up to the value on your card or the store limit, whichever is less. In fact, this is the best way to get cash from your card because you avoid ATM surcharge fees!
When returning merchandise, will my card be credited back the amount of the purchase?
Yes. Web and store merchants credit your returns back to your card just as they would any other card-based purchase.
Can I exchange U.S. currency for foreign currency with my card?
When the card is used to obtain cash at an ATM, the cash will be disbursed in that country's native currency. The equivalent value of that ATM disbursement will be deducted in US dollars from your balance.
Do I get cash back rewards for purchases made with my card?
No, this feature is not available at this time.
Can I use my card in other countries?
Yes, you may obtain funds and make purchases anywhere the MasterCard and/or Maestro brand is displayed.
Can I access my funds when the banks are closed?
Yes. With this card you have the ability to make purchases and withdraw funds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
I bought something from a Website, but they have not yet taken the money from my card. Why not?
The reason is that most Websites only charge your account when the merchandise is shipped, not when it is ordered. For example, if you order a product that is out of stock the merchant may not charge your account until the products become available and are shipped.
